Jeffrey Milarsky





Mode Records - A Record Label Devoted to New Music Jeffrey Milarsky

Conductor, percussionist, professor, music director, Jeffrey Milarsky's wide ranging repertoire, which spans from Bach to Xenakis, has brought him to lead such accomplished groups as the American Composers Orchestra (which has just named him Assistant Conductor), New York New Music Ensemble, Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, Columbia Sinfonietta, Speculum Musicae, Cygnus Ensemble, and the New York Philharmonic chamber music series. In demand as a Music Director, he has been named to that position for New Jersey's Musica Viva Festival. Most recently, he has joined the faculty of The Manhattan School of Music as Artistic Director and Conductor of the Percussion Ensemble.

Milarsky is Professor in Music at Columbia University, and is also on the Faculty at Juilliard. He received his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from The Juilliard School, where he was awarded the Peter Mennin Prize. He has recorded for Angel, Teldec, Telarc, New World, CRI, EMI, Koch, and London records.
