Scottish Flute Trio They have worked with leading composers such as Edward McGuire, Gordon McPherson, David Fennessy, Thea Musgrave, Joji Hirota, Kenneth Dempster, Robert Dick, Peter McGarr and their “Scottish Women” project in 2008 to celebrate Thea Musgrave’s 80th birthday saw the premiere of new works by Thea Musgrave, Sally Beamish, Pippa Murphy and Kirsty Blackwood. The trio have performed across the UK from major concert halls, theatres and festivals including the Edinburgh International Festival, Warwick Festival and the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, to remote Island galleries such as Taigh Chearsabhagh in North Uist and An Lanntair in Stornaway. Recordings include their CD Feasibility Studies for the Metier Label (2000), Bloodshake by Gordon McPherson for Natural Studio Records (2008) The Waterfall of Time on seven things (2010) They have broadcast for Radio 3, Radio Scotland and their recording of Madame de Shanghai by Luc Ferrari, originally recorded by seventhings has been reissued on Mode records.
